I do professional photo retouching for quite a few years now in the photography & entertainment industry. And as a retoucher, I know just how time-consuming this process can be. We all know how boring and tedious it can become to achieve the »perfect result«.

I was really impressed of the capabilities of the »Retouch4me« plugins when I discovered them a while ago. Due to their high price I was initially hesitant to pull the trigger. But I can say that these plugins have saved me countless hours of manual retouching. Literally hours and hours! So I think they are worth the price if you do a lot of retouching.

You can also use the plugins in the cloud with their free Photoshop panel. You just have to buy credits and let their servers do the work. But if you are retouching a lot of images I would rather buy them and use the plugins as often as you like with no further subscription costs.

AI TECHNOLOGY

You are probably sick of hearing of the terms »AI technology« by now and I was skeptical myself for a long time because the word AI gets thrown in every conversation at the moment and sometimes you cannot really tell if it is just some marketing bla or if a product can offer you a real value.

ONE-CLICK AI RETOUCHING

But when I tried the »Retouch4me« plugins myself and in my opinion they (mostly) work phenomenally with even one click. Yes, the results are not always perfect yet – and they get better over time due to machine learning technology – but they might save you around 50-80% time on your basic retouching process and you can focus of the more creative aspects of your work.

NON-DESTRUCTIVE WORKFLOW

There are some products out there like Evoto.ai that seem very easy and fancy at the surface. But Evoto for example is a »black box«. All retouching steps are baked into the final image. If Evoto should ever go bankrupt someday you have no layers in your PSD documents – just the final image. Even if »Retouch4me« should not exist anymore you still have open files with all layers accessible like you would with any other Photoshop document.

But of course you can you use »Retouch4me« in combination with Adobe Lightroom or Capture One Pro with a short roundtrip to the stand-alone app or – like I prefer it – you can use them directly in Adobe Photoshop because they create non-destructive manually editable layers which are essential for my workflow.

PHOTOSHOP FREEBIES
